From youth leader to elite coach

Prior to joining Inter Miami, Javier Mascherano developed his coaching career mainly in Argentina’s youth national teams.
He was appointed coach of the U-20 national team, where he led international tournaments and talent development processes.
Subsequently, he took charge of the U-23 national team, participating in official competitions and consolidating his profile as a coach in development.
His style was characterized by tactical discipline and leadership, influenced by his time as a professional player.
Although he had no top-level club experience, his work with young prospects positioned him as an interesting bet for MLS.
