The first lady of the United States, Melania Trump, received on Monday the fir tree that will preside over the White House Christmas decorations, which comes from a tree farm in the state of Michigan.

The tree, a 20-foot-tall (more than 20 feet) Concolor fir, came from the Korson family farm in Sidney, Michigan, and was the winner of the National Christmas Tree Association’s annual contest.

Melania came out to the main entrance of the mansion to greet the fir tree, which was transported by a horse-drawn carriage captained by three men dressed in tuxedos.

A few minutes later, he greeted the carriage drivers and the people accompanying the horses and returned inside the White House.

The reception was shorter than last year’s, when then First Lady Jill Biden received the tree, accompanied by family members and those affected by Hurricane Helene, who were honored by the tree.

Melania is once again the visible face of Christmas at the presidential mansion, as her office is in charge of decorations and events related to this holiday season.
