The fever for the 2026 World Cup has already begun and one of the most important Mexican artists of the moment will be the protagonist of one of the most anticipated celebrations of the tournament, as Peso Pluma will headline the official opening event organized by Adidas and the Los Angeles Host Committee to kick off the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The celebration will take place on June 11 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, a city that will be one of the focal points of the World Cup to be hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The brand recently launched a special Mexico-inspired jersey for the 2026-27 soccer season.

The German company confirmed that the event will combine soccer, music and Latin culture in a day designed especially for World Cup fans.

For millions of Hispanics living in the United States, especially in California, Texas and Illinois, the presence of Peso Pluma at the 2026 World Cup also represents a recognition of the global growth of Mexican music and the Latino community within international sports.

Activities will begin at 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time with a “watch party” to follow the opening match between Mexico and South Africa.

This will be followed by the adiCup, a national 3-on-3 tournament organized by Adidas.

Before continuing with another event to watch the match between South Korea and the Czech Republic scheduled for the evening.

At the end of the games, BMO Stadium will be transformed into a huge free celebration featuring a musical performance by Peso Pluma and a DJ set by Noodles.

Free tickets will be available starting June 1 through Ticketmaster.
