Concacaf officially updated its club ranking for May 2026 and the result confirms the dominance of Mexican teams in the region. Tigres UANL appears as the best club in the region prior to the Concacaf Champions Cup Final against Deportivo Toluca.

The qualification comes at one of the most important moments in the international calendar, just before the two Mexican clubs meet again in a high-impact final, reliving the intense Apertura 2025 series that went down to penalties.

The UANL team climbed to the top of the ranking after eliminating Nashville SC in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup 2026.

With 1,277 points, Tigres is narrowly ahead of Toluca and reaffirms the international weight it has built up over the last few years in the region.

In addition, the felines are looking to win their second CONCACAF title after the championship obtained in 2020.
