Travis Kelce continues to expand his legacy outside of the NF, as the storied Kansas City Chiefs tight end was officially announced as a new investor in the Cleveland Guardians, news that quickly made an impact on both baseball and soccer in the United States.

The Major League Baseball organization confirmed Wednesday the addition of Kelce to the team’s ownership group. The move represents an important link between one of the NFL’ s top stars and one of Cleveland’s most iconic sports franchises.

Although Kelce built his professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he won three Super Bowls, his roots remain deeply connected to Cleveland.

The player was born and raised in Cleveland Heights, a town located east of the city.

During his youth he excelled not only in soccer, but also in baseball and basketball.

In fact, Travis Kelce, now an investor in the Guardians, had a significant run as a ballplayer during his high school days.

At Cleveland Heights High School he recorded outstanding performances and was recognized by local media for his offensive output.

Kelce even continued to play baseball on summer varsity teams while attending the University of Cincinnati.
