Ariana Grande is ready to launch a new musical era. The artist confirmed that her eighth studio album will be titled Petal, a project that promises to show a much freer, riskier and personal side of her career.
After the success of her previous works, the singer of “We Can’t Be Friends” is preparing to present an album with 12 songs that, according to her own words, is born from a creative place she had not allowed herself to reach before.

The production of the single features the participation of renowned composers and producers Ilya Salmanzadeh y Max Martinresponsible for some of the biggest international pop hits and a regular collaborator of the artist.

Through her official Instagram account, Ariana shared a video recorded in the studio where she explained the concept behind the album.
According to the singer, petal represents a process of transformation and emotional liberation. The project revolves around leaving behind negative thoughts, external voices and experiences that no longer bring anything positive to her life.
She also said that the album will have a “wild” and authentic energy, reflecting a more daring version of herself, both personally and artistically.
A sound unlike anything that has gone before
During a meeting with content creator @amirmeetsny, Ariana made it clear that petal will not be a follow-up to positions, her 2020 hit album.
“I simply like to evolve,” the artist later wrote on networks, making it clear that this new production will explore different musical territories than those her fans are already familiar with.
The full album will be released on July 31, in the middle of The Eternal Sunshine Tour, which kicks off on June 6 in Oakland, California. Oakland.
The tour will include performances in different cities and will have a special stop in Londonthe only European date confirmed so far.
In an interview with Amy Poehler for the Good Hang podcast, Ariana confessed that this tour could be her last in a long time, so she plans to give her all in every performance.
