The romantic drama ‘Wuthering Heights,’ starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, takes the top spot at the box office with a worldwide gross of $82 million, while the animated film ‘Goat’ reaches second place with $47.6 million.
The film ‘s success has been slightly lower among audiences in the North American market – the United States and Canada – where it grossed 40 million and opened in 3,682 theaters, according to the specialized website Box Office Mojo.
‘Wuthering Heights’ (Wuthering Heights) is the third feature film by Emerald Fennell (‘Promising Young Woman’) and is based on the well-known novel by Emily Brontë.

Netflix had offered to pay $150 million for the film but the filmmakers and producers, including Robbie, opted to accept less money from Warner Bros in exchange for a larger theatrical release and a large-scale marketing campaign.
‘Crime 101,’ starring Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Barry Keoghan, is the surprise of the weekend with an opening that places it in third place on the billboard with a worldwide gross of $29.7 million, according to the website.
Sam Raimi’s ‘Send Help’ reaches its third weekend on theaters and remains in fourth place at the U.S. box office. In total it has grossed $73.8 million worldwide.

‘Solo Mio’ -only released in the U.S.- closes in fifth place, with a collection of 18.5 million dollars since its release (February 6), the latter has collected this weekend a total of 6.8 million dollars collected, reported Agencia EFE.
