British actor Owen Cooper became the youngest actor ever to collect an Emmy Award on Sunday, winning best supporting actor for the psychological drama ‘Adolescence’.

At 15, the actor who plays Jamie Miller, a 13-year-old accused of murdering a classmate, broke the record previously held by Scott Jacoby, who was 16 when he won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for ‘The Certain Summer’ in 1973.

The Netflix miniseries is aiming to become one of the most awarded at the 77th edition of these awards, which are being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
