The MAGA base demands immediate transparency

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, was informed since May 2025 by officials of his own Justice Department that his name appears on multiple occasions within the files related to the case of the late child molester Jeffrey Epstein. This was revealed by official sources in a report published this week, generating mixed reactions both in the White House and among the president’s supporters.

The warning was reportedly given during a routine briefing led by Attorney General Pam Bondi and her number two, Todd Blanche, who notified Trump about the appearance of his name, along with those of other public figures, in documents compiled during the investigation into Epstein and his ties to influential personalities. According to these sources, Bondi clarified that the files contain unverified hearsay and indirect mentions of people who, like Trump, have reportedly had social contact with Epstein in the past. However, it was stressed that there is no direct evidence or legal charges linking the president to crimes in the case.

Contradictions and tension in the government

Despite these revelations, Trump publicly denied that he had been briefed by his attorney general.

The statement has generated uncertainty within his own administration.

Especially because of mounting pressure from part of his political base, the Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement, which has demanded the full release of the files and the alleged “client list” that Epstein allegedly used for blackmail.

The unease intensified when the Justice Department confirmed that it does not plan to release new details about the case.

This decision was interpreted as a lack of transparency by ultra-conservative sectors.

They expected Trump to disclose the full contents upon his return to power.

Controversial letter and new lawsuit

Adding to the controversy was the leak last week of an alleged profanity-laced letter attributed to Trump and sent to Epstein during the time they were friends.

The president denied the authenticity of the document and described the publication as “completely false”.

He even announced a defamation lawsuit against the media that published the material.

So far, Trump is not facing any charges linked to these documents.

However, public pressure continues to grow, especially from members of Congress calling for more clarity on the actual contents of the files.
